Why you are reading this#

Any site that tells you how to open an account somewhere has an obvious question hanging over it: is it recommending this because it is right, or because it gets paid?

That is a fair question and it deserves a real answer rather than a line of small print at the bottom of the page. This page is the answer.

How the commission works#

Binance, like most large exchanges, runs a referral programme. The mechanics:

1. A referral code identifies the referrer

   This site’s code is BN0112. It is carried in the registration link on our account-opening guide, and it is the only place on this site where that link appears.

2. The code has to be attached at sign-up

   A referral code can only be applied at the moment the account is created. It cannot be added afterwards. That is the exchange’s rule, not ours.

3. The exchange shares part of its own fee

   When you later trade, you pay the exchange a trading fee. Binance passes a portion of that fee it already charged to the referrer. Your fee is not increased to fund it.

4. Nothing else is shared

   We receive commission figures. We do not receive your name, your email, your balance, your trades or your identity documents. We have no visibility into your account whatsoever.

Does it cost you anything#

No. Two people who each buy the same amount on the same day pay the same trading fee, whether one of them arrived through a referral link and the other typed the address in directly.

Some referral programmes go further and give the person signing up a fee discount as well. Whether such a discount is active, and how large it is, is decided by the exchange and changes over time. We deliberately do not put a number on it here, because a number we wrote in August 2026 could be wrong by the time you read it. Whatever the registration page shows you at the time is what applies.

What it does and does not influence#

Being honest here means separating the two.

What it does influence: which exchange this site walks you through. We chose one and wrote the walkthrough for it, and we have a commercial relationship with that one. We are not going to pretend otherwise. A site with a referral deal on exchange A is not a neutral comparison of A against B.

What it does not influence: what we say once you are there. Concretely, on this site you will find:

• Payment methods described as not recommended, including ones that would still have produced a commission if you used them.
• Plain statements that a route is closed in your country, rather than a workaround.
• A fee section that shows you where costs are highest, including when the convenient option is the expensive one.
• Advice to keep your first purchase small, which produces a smaller commission than encouraging a large one.

Using the site without it earning anything#

This is genuinely fine and we would rather say so than hide it.

Every guide on this site is readable in full without clicking anything. If you would prefer that we earn nothing, type the exchange’s address into your browser yourself and register there. Nothing on this site is gated, nothing is withheld, and no page will nag you about it.

You will actually see us recommend typing the address manually in the registration guide anyway — for a security reason that matters more than our commission: it is the reliable way to avoid phishing sites.

Why we chose this model#

The realistic alternatives for funding a site like this were advertising, paid content, or selling something. We think referral commission is the least bad option here, for one specific reason: it is the only model where we are not paid more for writing worse.

Display advertising in this category tends to be full of exactly the things a beginner should be avoiding. Paid content would put the useful parts behind a wall, which defeats the point of a guide for people who are nervous and just want to finish. Selling a course would give us a reason to make the subject sound harder than it is.

None of that makes this site neutral. It makes it disclosed, which is a different and more achievable thing. You now know how we are paid; you can weigh what you read accordingly.
