Funding methods by region
Whether you can fund an account is decided mostly by where you are and who you bank with. Pick a region below and the table shows only what applies to you.
Where are you?
Green = usually works, amber = works but at a cost, red = usually closed.
“Cost” is an order of magnitude, not a quote. Platform coverage, fee levels and regional policy all change without notice — go by what your own screen offers you.
United Kingdom#
| Method | Works? | Speed | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Faster Payments transfer | Usually | Minutes | Usually free | The default choice. Put only the platform’s reference in the payment note |

Three rules that apply everywhere#
-
Send a small amount first
Run the whole path once with a small sum and confirm the money arrives and a purchase completes, before committing a real amount.
-
Put nothing in the payment reference except the platform’s code
Not the coin name, not the platform name. Many banks screen references for keywords and will stop the transfer.
-
Pay from an account in your own name
A payer/holder mismatch gets flagged as unusual, the order may be cancelled, and getting the money back needs an appeal.
